Editorial Standards
Hephanos publishes research and methodology for the people who have to find and rank opportunities inside a real operating business. Below is what that content is, what stands behind it, and what it will not claim.
What we publish
Frameworks, methodology, and industry analysis for operators — how opportunity discovery differs from continuous improvement, how to rank an opportunity you cannot fully quantify, what a portfolio of bets looks like when the budget is real. It is written for someone who has to defend a decision internally, not for someone browsing.
We write openly about our own method, including the parts we are still uncertain about.
We show our sources
Where an article makes a factual claim, that claim is sourced and the source is named. Where it makes an argument, we say it is our position. We do not dress an opinion as a finding, and we do not cite research we have not read.
Where we use an illustrative example to make a mechanism clear, we say that it is illustrative.
We say what we don’t know
We do not write about your business. Nothing on this site is an assessment of your company, your market, or your opportunities. General methodology is not a diagnosis. An article that seems to describe your situation is describing a pattern, not you.
Specifically, we do not:
- Publish client names, client data, or case studies we cannot attribute
- Invent statistics, survey results, or research findings
- Present composite examples as real engagements
- Offer investment, legal, or financial advice
Where our confidence in a claim is lower than the sentence implies, we say so in the sentence.
What we’re aiming for
Sound, not perfect.
Our content is produced with purpose-built research and writing systems — deliberate source retrieval and evidence tracking, staged drafting and review, and checks that tie claims back to what they rest on. These are engineered systems with verification steps, not prompts typed into a chatbot. A person reads every article before it publishes, for the thing a process is worst at judging: whether the argument actually holds and whether it is worth the time of someone with a real decision to make.
None of that makes us infallible, and we are not going to claim it does. Anything published at volume will eventually get something wrong. What we can promise is that our claims are sourced, our limits are stated rather than hidden, and our positions stay consistent across pieces written months apart — so if we are wrong, you can see where.
Corrections
If we have missed something or got something wrong, tell us at info@hephanos.com. We read it, and if the correction is genuine we fix the article and note what changed and when. Where a piece rests on data that ages, we re-check it rather than assume an older article is still true.
Authorship and accountability
Our content is attributed to Hephanos Research — the organization — rather than to an individual byline. Responsibility for everything published here rests with Hephanos, not with a tool.
How this is funded
This content is published by Hephanos, which sells opportunity discovery software. We carry no advertising, sponsored content, or affiliate links. We publish it because the method is the product’s argument — if the thinking does not hold up here, there is no reason to trust it there.
